Are you the one who is similar to me spending hours and hours on phone ?

Do you happen to work on detoxifying from scrolling screens anytime before ?

Are you unable to avoid checking phone whenever you get notifications ?

     

                   Of course, answer is YES from most of us who is becoming slave to the "phone" so called the MASTER of every human being. COVID made the situation of using mobile more worse spreading the habit from adults to children. Though there are many uses of mobile in this worst pandemic situations like health needs, human mindset always craves for something bad rather than living happy life. Life is full of give and take, the same goes with we and our smartphone. If we use it for a good purpose, it in return gives us good results. 

                    Here are few digital detox tips for everyone to try and habituate following those on a daily basis to find your new YOU or value of your time.

  • Start your day with tech free - Its really nice to start your day without any gadget in your hands exposing the fresh mind to unwanted chats and news. Utilize your morning power hour efficiently where you can complete most of your tasks without any distraction.                      
  • Monitor Screen Time - Try to determine the usage of your mobile for a few days using time tracker apps like Quality Time (which I recommend the most), Digitox etc. Think and understand the time you are spending on mobile unnecessarily. So, try to monitor your screen time mindfully and get back to your life with more time.
  • Turn off notifications - Disable the notification options for unimportant apps required and avoid noises disturbing your mind saying to check on. This helps you to distract from notifications eventually.
  • Allot time for social media - Schedule specific time to check social media and other notifications received. If you are unable to follow this regularly, you may need to postpone actual things need to be done.
  • Take intentional breaks - This helps you to be gadget free for sometime. Leave your phone for few hours a day or try to follow a gadget free day and enjoy the present moment.
  • Don't overload your storage space - Try not to capture each and everything you see as it may load your storage space. This is where you need to sit for sometime and declutter the unnecessary photos or documents from your mobile. It may result in wasting your precious time.
  • Protect your eyes - If you are someone whose work is totally dependent on any gadget continuously, try to protect your eyes from blue light exposure. Use protective glasses or blue light filter in your mobile. Ma

Follow the above mentioned tips to detox yourself from smartphones. I will suggest you to try each tip one by one rather than following all at a time which may reduce the interest to follow consistency required to achieve your goal.
