Self Care Habits

Put Yourself At The Top Of Your To Do List Every Single Day, And The Rest Will Fall Into PlaceπŸ‘

I am a normal human being starting my day with snoozing alarm and doing rest of the activities in a hurry just to avoid scolding from my family to fulfill all the responsibilities I have. But this pandemic CORONA changed my life in every aspect to discover and explore myself. I made many changes in my day to day activities, started following routines, healthy habits and trying to quit bad habits or negative thinking. I moulded myself  to accustom the new way of living life in three platforms of life - simple & healthy living, organizing & declutter, adopting minimalism slowly. There is a saying by Johann Wolfgang, "As soon as you trust yourself, you will know how to live". I believed in it and started my journey towards the way I want to live.

Firstly, I have to make myself feel confident enough to do anything and attain happiness. So, I decided to take care of myself  with small changes or habits. If you are like me who is thriving to change the way of life we live, join your hands with me and follow these habits.

  • Feed your mind- Start your day with a positive affirmation telling your mind to make the day more productive. Because morning motivation is much needed as it is the time where you can accomplish most of the tasks with a calm and fresh environment surrounding you.
  • Me Time- Having me time is necessary to know your self worth. Just smile and count the blessings of your life. This makes your soul more happy and satisfied.
  • Prepare any one meal in a day which you love to eat- Prepare or cook any one meal in a day which you love the most to savor the food involving all your senses leading to mindful eating.
  • Tidy up one area of your room- Tidy up or organize any one corner of your room each day. As you all know, clutter in your surroundings clutters your mind. This helps you in decluttering your space as well as your mind giving clear space to more positive thoughts.

  • Get Enough Sleep- Getting adequate sleep is equally important to make you feel refreshed. You can complete all your tasks successfully without feeling lazy.
  • Spend sometime with your loved ones- This really nurtures your heart by sharing thoughts, sorrows and making priceless memories. You are shaped by the way your family or your loved ones receive you and your words. Spending time with your family gives you a promise of living life, protection and happiness. Family support plays an incredible role in achieving success in your life.
  • Do Exercise or Yoga- Your physical health is more important to strengthen your muscles, bones, increasing mobility and boosting your immune system. Doing exercise or workouts or yoga for at least 30 minutes a day increases your energy levels and you remain staying active the whole day.

  • Take good care of your skin and hair- Taking care of yourself starts from your physical appearance to be more confident and look good. Your physical appearance indirectly affects you mentally to stay positive and get things done.

  • Spend sometime in nature- Spending sometime in nature makes you realize your true self  and how all living beings are connected to feed one another or to share happiness. Try spending sometime in nature by gardening, watching sun rise or sunset, going to park, walking along the nature.
  • Try a new Hobby- Try to include any new hobby into your daily activity list which makes you more creative and a sense of learning new things helps you to grow.
  • Put down your thoughts- If you are suffering from many thoughts running your mind, take a book and write your thoughts to clear your mind. This makes you stop worrying, reducing stress and giving good sleep.
  • Journal every day- Start journaling every day with few questions like- what are the things you are grateful for?, what made you more happy today? etc.. This habit slowly helps in knowing your true worth and areas you have to improve.
  • Meditate- Start doing meditation for 5 to 10 minutes regularly. It makes you to be mindful of every activity you do and increases your concentration.
  • Take help if needed- Don't hesitant to ask and take help from someone when needed. This helps you remove any burden and reduce stress.
  • Eat Healthy food- Its true that you have to nourish yourself to flourish. Taking healthy food makes your mind sharp, get sufficient energy rather than feeling lethargic which leads to postponing things.

I personally tried all these habits and experienced the result from last one year leading to a satisfactory life and being productive all day. Please do follow regularly and experience the outcome with more happiness. I got this knowledge from the books I read in lockdown and following few people's guidelines.
